The enemy is gone,
but soon they will come back,
when their drums sound,
i for sure will die.

All my fellows are dead,
i'm the only one still standing,
all them were my friends,
but i'll see them soon.
'cause i'm also injuried,
badly injuried.

I know seeing my blood flow,
life scaping from me
from this wounded body that
never hesitated to risk,
its life after a dream that
it never will reach.

I'll tie my banner and to
the symbol of my faith,
if death reaches me before,
may them find me on my feet.
On my feet and defiant,
as i always lived,
they knowing well that
i never surrendered.

I'm fainting,
i hardly can see,
Death, wait a moment,
they're about to come.

I see a lady comming,
smiling to me,
if that lady is the death,
who's afraid to die?
She comes singing a lullaby
from my homeland,

my mother used to sing it,
i could never forget.
