I mean i actually have a list of a variety of challenges to improve your skills in different styles of layouts so it is a good idea to choose one that you haven't tried before.
Enjoy~

01.Simplistic and minimal
Try to use as little css as possible to create a layout that is easy on the eyes. This should be made specifically for use on text blogs or picture blogs (which you should mention in the description). And don't forget to not use too many colours or fonts- keep it grayscale and imageless, with perhaps the exception of one or more colours and small details.

02.Old school
Remember when we had those extremely detailed layouts that used images as foundations? You should definitely have a go at this one if you are confident in using photo editors (photoshop, pixlr etc.) to create such graphics like icons and banners but now use them for layouts. Try and use a great colour palette for this and stay away from grays (unless you can make it look good!).

03.Shapes
Since CSS3 layouts have become much more dimensional, and even started to replace the use of images. For this one you should use shapes as the main part of the layout, and avoid the use of images.

04.Webkit/transitions
This will be a very easy but challenging one since there are so many things you can do with the codes- without bombarding the entire layout with it. This one should be quite self explanatory- just go mad with all the transitions.

05.Javascript/jQuery
Css might make a blog very pretty and attractive, but it doesn't have the utilities that javascript and jquery has. Avoid using css and make the foundations of the layout using only javascript or jquery- you might get away with using a bit of css.

06.Fonts and colours
This is like the evil twin of the first challenge so for this one you should use matching colours(avoid gray at all times) and fonts from sites like Dafont or Google webfonts.

There aren't many rules to this challenge, just try to do your best to improve your skills .

I need to get it removed (the fans shouting in the background) because I'm going to burn it into a CD for my dance competition. and the the live song is a cover from another band so yeah I can't take the actual song. I'm not an IT savvy so is there anyone who can help me with it? If not, just explain to me how to do it.

Maybe if you cant remove the shouting then you can edit the front part of the actual song and piece it together with the live song if that's possible.

I'm gonna make this a little harder challenge.

Design an image skin. All by yourself.

The skin needs to have at least 40% images (I'm not counting in the images that are placed along with sidebar contents, such as profile + avatar) or in other words, it needs to have an image header and a sidebar/entries space with background or header+navigations+body background, at least. Header has to contain at least one image, brush and font. If you're doing a navigational skin, make the navigations in image format, not with html.

If you don't own Photoshop, you can download Gimp, which is not completely awesome like Photoshop, but it's the most similar freeware software. Of course, you can find resources on Deviantart, but not use somebody else's image.

Can't wait to see this :3

Colour challenge

%Nemo's idea of this challenge really brought blogskins alive, only for a short while .
So I have an idea of another challenge regarding colours and these are the rules :
→ You can only use ONE colour- no more but you can also use grayscale colours as well as rgba values for more variety. Images should be kept to a minimum and I suggest that you use a colour from colourlovers with the colour as the title of the skin.

Since these spam threads need to be deleted daily (and there's a lot of spam to delete, obviously), I suggest this system for registration: stop the verification of e-mail automatically. Instead I suggest that only administrator (Myles) can verify accounts. What does this mean?
Instead of a newly registrated user simply verifying his account by clicking the verification link gotten in his email (if this mail-checking system exists here, I forgot), Myles should try verifying the accounts himself. This surely takes a lot less time than manually removing all the spam threads from the forum (unless the spam gets somehow deleted automatically, but still, it's a good idea).
