Where do I start?

Hi guys, I am interested to create my own blog web page but have no idea where to start from. I have no experience in HTML at all. Can somebody advise me where I can start from, like some books, perhaps?

hello!

does anybody know how to use the Older Post trick in blogger templates. i've read tons of tutorials but they are for blogger layouts (XML).

the code goes like this: http://you.blogger.com/search?updated-max=2009-10-26T10%3A25%3A00%2B08%3A00&max-results=3

after clicking that, a new page with 3 search results (from your archive) will come out.

i've tried tweaking the code myself but i just can't get it right. is there anybody here who uses Older Post (not the archives one) and blogger templates (blogger main) at the same time.

you know how some blogskins have formatting so that underlined/ stuff in bold are not the typical kind? like maybe some stuff is added on, such as double underline instead of one, etc. anyone knows how to do this? i tried google but most links are useless as they only tell you how to add underline but not edit the format for it. thanks

Displaying multiple templates for readers to pick

Okay right.
What I meant by the title is..

Have you all seen websites where there is this drop down menu or some link thing which allows you to choose which template you want to view the website in?

Let's say there is template A and template B which means that the drop down menu will say template A and template B...
And what you are displaying on the website is template A.
Then the visitor likes template B better so they can just click the template B from the drop down menu to view the website in template B...

Has anyone come across such HTML codes or have any knowledge on how to code it?

Comment System, Archive, Title and Labels

First, will you guys make this as sticky post so that everybody can see this quickly, thus avoiding repeated questions over and over again? please?

1.) My first question is about how to add the freakin comment system.

Well, as you guys know, the layouts that you have here dont have comment system, and we, the "supporters" dont even have a single clue how to add that damn comment link (or at least, some of us, I guess). I think that you should at least put some steps on how to put that thing coz not all of us in this world knows what to do, right? It's funny that there's a lot of tutorials how to download the themes and such, but I've seen nothing about how to add some comment systems. I hope this post helps those who are struggling until now how to get that thing done (including me, of course!)

I think it would be nice if we let everyone to know what to do. The number of annoying strangers who ask you this thing frequently would significantly drop too (include me to that annoying stranger. lol). Instead of being a snob, why not turn into an angel sent from above? Be helpful. Nice idea huh?

You could also add some Instructions on how to put back the "missing blogger's comment link in each post" and of course, how to put Haloscan and other comment systems. That would be helpful, I guarantee you.

Yes, I've read the "comment question" in FAQ, but only the 19 comments link appears and not the "comment box" where people could type out their comments. If you know what I mean. (I guess, you call it text-area)...and unfortunately, old comments dont appear.

2.) Second question is about the blog archive thing.

The [$BlogArchiveName$] thing is kind of messed up sometimes so I literally see this code and not the "supposedly archive"

3.) Third is about the Blog Title thing.

Just the same with the Blog Archive problem. Sometimes, instead of the title, the code is the one you could see and/or, the title doesnt always show up thus making some post "title-less".

4.) Lastly, question regarding the lables.

There's no list of labels available as a widget? Why?

I m face a new problem. New Foleder.exe virus insert my PC and It's disables task manager, disables registry editor, disables folder options, and disables run option from start menu. Virus creates exe files like the icon of folders with the same name as the name of the folder.and I was surprised that my most reliable friend Avast, for the first time failed me in this war against viruses but then again avg and bitdiffender also failed against it. please solve my problem.
