This layout is originally meant for my personal site. (You can say that I save the maximalist stuff for it.) I decided to pop back here to check out what's going on, so I saw this hero-themed competition and I figured I should just give it a shot.

Fans of my usual css style may or may not like this since I didn't bother with styling this one. Just so you know I am also a graphics person.

Anyway, I am obliged to tell you about the subject of my layout. This man, his name is Travis Bryant and he has the voice of an angel. I am not kidding. Go and listen to his songs here.. He is incredibly talented. Anything that is related to him is equally as amazing (for example, his previous bands and his bandmate's new band, and his own work, and his friends). Therefore I hero-worship him. The end.

This layout is quite stripped down, based on a spoken-word song by Anthony Green. No images, just plain red and white with a dirty white background.

In the screenshot the words look miniscule, but if you would be not lazy and check out the preview, it is a lot bigger.

I would also like to advise you all to host your own images. These days imageshack is not being very reliable, so I'm using TinyPic, which might also be not very reliable so just save the image and put it in your own photobucket account or something.

Also, it would be good if you changed the date header to dd/mm/yy format, and display only one post. It will look a lot better.

I'm taking a big risk by uploading this here because seriously, it looks like bullshit on the blogskins preview. I assure you that everything looks fine on Blogger, which by the way I completely hate the new interface, and if you want to see what the skin is supposed to look like you can click on the screenshot there. It might look like a white/grey box to you but there are details inside(!!) go look.

Thank you for those who kept on posting messages on the tagboard. I apologize if this layout is somewhat of a disappointment, since I reckon than 90% of the population here dislike skins that have no images, have tiny words and has less than 2 color. Although I will not go bollocks if you want give me a 0.5 rating.

And if any of you actually bothered to read this, I just want to say that for your own good, change your date formate to dd.mm.yy. Like 14/05/07. Trust me, it will look a lot more presentable. You can see how I made it to be in the screenshot.

As I have promised, a Blessthefall-based layout, with lyrics from their song Higinia. You can view the music video on my user profile page. I will also put up their own spoof version for your viewing pleasure, so do take a look if you like music that melts faces.

NOTE: Please do not complain that the words in the profile section is hard to read. Blogskins is being very very annoying and it is screwing up my alignments so you have to live with it for now before I think of a way to make it better.

EDIT: I put up the video. I actually came up with something quite decent looking!

Well I am incredibly inspired by mothersound's huge collection of band skins so I thought it was about time I made some band layouts again.

This one features the super super awesome Alesana & their even more amazing song Ambrosia. I have nothing much to say about it, except that if you don't like small boxes and tiny words then don't preview it. It will spoil you day.

Also I realised that the tagboard space was too miniscule (thank you ashin-koike), so you can put it on the other areas of the page. I'm sure there is enough space.

I think I maaay come up with layout featuring my boys from blessthefall next. Anyone listens to them? BTFizzle!! (heartheartheart).
The name of the skin was meant to be a joke. The only type of Xcore I support is hXc.

Anyway, this is grossly simple so please do not comment and say "This stupid skin is too plain." because it is meant to be. I tried to spruce up the CSS and added a background full of little skull patterns which will burn your eyeballs if you stare at it for too long.

And I gave up on navigation codes for the time being. They seem to hate me. But I really really think it's the Blogger code which is making it screw up.

I don't know.

No, I am in fact very much alive.

As you can see I actually came up with something colourful, and I am very surprised with myself as well. My style changes as frequently as Taking Back Sunday's lineup, so here you are witnessing me in one of my happier moods.

This layout features a chair and a pair of wedges (don't ask me why) and has a stripey background.One-liner from Panic! At The Disco's "London Beckoned Songs About Money Written By Machines".

Short disclaimer, please read.
Unfortunately, this skin only works on Firefox. Unless you don't mind having no navigation on IE. The preview is a little screwed in Blogskins but it will look fine once pasted into Blogger. I think there might be something wrong with the Blogger code I included such that it doesn't show up on the Blogskins preview. Technically there is nothing wrong with coding, it functions properly on Firefox when you paste the code into Blogger.

Anyway if you are wondering why this style looks so familiar, I actually used to be ohjetlove (surprise surprise.) I doubt anyone remembers me, but old friends are always welcome.

Basically one of those layouts that you do on the spur of the moment when you're feeling kind of stressed.

The title of this skin has nothing to do with what it looks like, so don't expect to see any snakes and stuff. I did this in half an hour; a shameless tribute to Showbread's newly released album and their smashing new single "Oh! Emetophobia!" that I've been listening to all day. Which explains the lyrics that I've included in the text box.

I played around with the CSS a bit, so I hope you guys like something a little different.

Yea I know this skin isn't much. But bear with me please, I'm dying from revising for my math test tomorrow.

EDIT. The skin scrolls in the preview and it's really ugly. But that is because of the stupid blogger header bar thing at the top! It doesn't scroll when it's in Blogger, so no worries. I wouldn't make something that scrolls anyway, eh.

Oh, and I realised that it looks really pitiful in the screenshot. So please click on the preview before commenting that it looks plain in the screenshot, kthxbai. /EDIT.

 "OMGITSBLEEDINGSTARBOI".

I gave up on the whole LJ look because tables are a real pain to code. So, hope you like this style. Didn't attempt to do much for the CSS because I got lazy, just tweaked the some parts from my first skin.

I also gave up on the comment code because all it does is destroy my skin in the blogskin preview.

Lyrics are from Bright Eye's "Lua".

Oh, and did anyone notice I bothered to do up my profile? I dare you to find the hidden tagboard. No, it's not all that hard really.
The only interesting thing about this layout is probably the CSS and the patterned background. Other than that, this is a simple skin with tables.

And because of the annoying comment code that I chose to inclue, it totally ruined the entire layout on the previews so please refer to the screencap for how it is supposed to look after you put the code into your blog.

I've seen some of your comments that it is quite LJ-ish. Well unfortunately I think I'm partly influenced by such type of design since I'm a LJ user myself. The years of using LJ has taken its toll! LOL.

And once again let me stress, I have been generous enough to include the comment code in, and I don't know wth is wrong with Blogskins that doesn't show the code properly. I think this is probably due to the unpopularity of using the comment function in mainstream blogskins. Personally I think it is much better than tagboards. So anyway, the "blogposts" may appear to be wide and horribly stretched until it spills over the page but there is nothing wrong with the code. Refer to the screencap that I provided for what it is going to look like after you copy and paste it into Blogger. kthx.
