I haven't sent in a design in almost a year! XD But, It's because I've been making private layouts on the side. In honor of the new year (and the fact I made a layout for someone was not ever getting back to me) I am submitting a Shel Silverstein layout. WHO?? If you have read "Where the Sidewalk Ends" or "A Light In the Attic" you may have also heard about "The Giving Tree". Shel Silverstein wrote and drew the artwork for these poems and stories in the late 70's and 80's. I took the popular story of "The Giving Tree" and designed a layout around it. It's mainly white, black, red, and shades of grey but it's a nice style, IMO. and although the main page scrolls in preview, 1024x768 screen settings should not have a problem with that when using it!!!

Here is layout 17!! I have tried and tried the last few days and I can't get the bar to disappear from the top, so I suggest the tan, it looks the least obvious. It will show up in the top box instead of across the whole top of the layout. I have put in some words to denote where it will sit and if you use it, the bar will just write over the words at the top of that box. I went back to my other style seeing that my last layout attempt was such a damn flop. (just for the record, it wasn't stolen coding as was commented. Now it's been avoided like the damn plague, oh well I tried that style and I guess it's just not gonna work for me.)

This one is called "Bare Innocence of Truth". It's a sepia tone picture and layout (all tans and browns) of a guy standing bare chested looking off into the distance. I thought it would be a different way to go.

Here is layout 16!! I have come up with yet another layout. This time I goofed and I can't get the bar to disappear from the top, so I suggest the silver, it looks the least obvious. Again, it's a totally different style than I normally do and I figured for the year, I should try something different again. I wanted to do something a little dark and angst filled. I found the picture a while back and thought it would be perfect with a little tweaking. Thank you!

NOTES!!!:

The "long long" posts you see with large amounts of coding have to do with the coding for comments for each blog entry. This is the "comment coding", it will disappear when you use it. The fake account isn't set right for that coding to disappear in the example... I have made lots of layouts and seen it happen but when used, the coding does exactly what it's supposed to do.
ALSO, All the extra coding and words you currently outside of the text box is a glitch of Blogskins and will NOT happen to the layout! I don't understand why this happens but it happens on about 2 or 3 of my layouts for no reason. I have tried this layout in blogger on both FireFox and Internet Explorer and both are fine!! The extra words and junk will disappear when you use it. ALL THE GLITCHES DO GO AWAY!!! Look HERE if you don't understand! The idea for the coding came from a forum called www.forum4designers.com in a few chats they had about innerHTML. Please stop rating so negatively against it!!! Thank you!

Here is layout 15!! Sorry it's taken so long, I have been busy with junk AGAIN!!! I have finally come up with a CSS coding that allows me to hide the damn banner!!!! It's a totally different style than I normally do and I figured for the year, I should try something different again. I have this thing about the picture staying put and the text moving in java boxes. But I decided that if I don't currently use the same technique on my own personal layout, then I should expand a little. I mean, there must be a reason I like mine, right? This design is for those who are going to be married soon. I have had the picture tucked away for a while and I thought I would use it now in honor of the new year. Thank you!

BOO!!!! Scared ya Didn't I? Happy Halloween! LOL... Here is layout 14!! This would have been up earlier but I have been busy!!! You guys have been looking for some cute halloween layouts? Well, here ya go! I still can't get the new banner to disappear so that's out but I did set it up so that the page top doesn't get swallowed by the banner. (I would suggest the black choice seeing I can't get rid of that code STILL!) But it does hide the other one that seems to pop up from time to time. I hope you enjoy the picture and the layout. I have used this style before for some recent layouts. I would suggest clicking on the links that show you the pictures before looking at the layout. I have been hearing from others that the pictures aren't showing up right away. Also! There is a glitch in Blogskins sample form that seems to wipe out the date bar on the lower entry. PLEASE IGNORE THIS! I have tested it in blogger and it is fine! Thank you!

BOO!!!! Scared ya Didn't I? LOL anyways... Here is layout 13!! This would have been up 2 days earlier but I just moved to a new house!!! You guys have been looking for a cute halloween layout? Well, here ya go! I still can't get the new banner to disappear so that's out but I did set it up so that the page top doesn't get swallowed by the banner. (I would suggest the tan or silver choices seeing I can't get rid of that code STILL!) But it does hide the other one that seems to pop up from time to time. I went back to the style I normally do. I have this thing about the picture staying put and the text moving in java boxes. I tried to make the page scroll as minimally as possible. I didn't want to take away from the picture's look by minimizing it more. Also, the layout will look like the boxes at the bottom are not lined up with the blogger box. If you pull the layout into blogger and look at the preview, it should align properly. It did when I tested it in blogger first. I don't know how it will look for others in other blogging communities. It looks like something that blogskins is goofing with. Oh yeah, I know the correct way to write it is "My love and I" but because it rhymed with halloween, I kept it "my love and me" Thank you!

Here is layout 11!! Sorry it's taken so long, I have been busy with a new house!!! This is a light/dark colored childhood layout... I tried CSS with this one so please be kind, I still know very little about the style sheet itself. (I actually tried this out because of what other people said about the picture repeating itself when I made it another way) I still can't get the new banner to disappear so that's out but I did set it up so that the page top doesn't get swallowed by the banner. (I would suggest the silver choice seeing I can't get rid of that code) But it does hide the other one that seems to pop up from time to time. The text will move but the picture will not so it will look really good for 1024x768 resolution. I think the pic was too narrow for it to look right for larger resolutions and to be honest, I didn't try it in 800x600. It's a little odd and I don't normally do the little kid designs but this was a request so I hope people enjoy it. It will look odd in the viewer. So please be aware of that :)

Mela, I don't see the error happening on my page. could you send me a pic of what happens when you look at it?!? I love it when you message me about the pages I do, I always reevaluate them :) Oh and I took the noembed code out now. for some reason it blocked the coding for the scroll bar on the side. that no embed code wasn't working for me anyway.

The night I downloaded the layout, the server at imgspot was giving me trouble. You might have to try to pull the pics individually first then look at the layout. They are there so please don't give nasty marks based on slow or stubborn free servers!!! Thanks Again!!

Here we go! A Harry Potter layout for all those who are infatuated with Harry and Hermione getting together. I honestly don't see the two getting together but I figure I will let the masses fight that one out (if you re read book 4 you will understand why I see Ron and Hermione getting together instead) If you are concerned with the "words" at the bottom... It is a quote that I added to the bottom which WILL show if you use this layout for 1024 x 768 resolution. It says in Harry Potter font, "When first we met we did not guess that love would prove so hard a master."

Back to info. I tried to move boxes about so that it worked well in the space and didn't cover faces (one of my pet peeves when using photos for the background). It seems a little off in layout but it is centered even with the blinkie box at the bottom. I hope people like it. I tried to remember where I had gotten the original pic so that I could give props but alas, my list has gone missing again and I don't remember the millions of pages I frequent. I will give credit for it as soon as I can find the site. Again, let me know if you have suggestions on it. I tried to go a little differently with this because of the whole not putting things on the people so I understand that the layout will look a bit funky.

Mela, I see what you mean... (hadn't tried it on a resolution of that size obviously.) if you really like it and want to use it, let me know and I will resize the graphic so that it does not tile like it did. (message or email me and we can talk about resizing the whole layout for you)

I have added a different version of the pic for those who want the layout but don't want to redownload the whole layout again.
Larger resolution Pic where it says "background image" in the code, simply change it to the link of the pic above. For new downloads, I will simply change the pic in the coding. This is my best fix for now. I will have to dabble with the css coding for not making the picture repeat itself. That will take time for me to make sense of.

There was a server upchuck and the larger pic was lost along with everything from my No Doubt layout(this will be fixed tonight now) www.imgspot.com I just reloaded the larger resolution picture for those who downloaded the layout and lost access to the picture due to not RELOADING IT AGAIN LIKE I HAD ASKED! So I have added it to the coding again and to the link above that says "larger resolution". Thank you!

OK... Here's number 4! Wow, this didn't take nearly as much time as the other I just finished up last night. Anyhow...

Please, please, please... I make it a point to set these pics on servers that anyone can take the pic and run with it (because many people that sign up to download barely know html/css/java coding) so PLEASE keep my link on the layout!!! Yeah I know "Broken" is actually done by Seether (which has the radio version recorded with Amy Lee). This is why I named the design "Broken". I did also link to Seether in my layout too. I actually decided on the name of the layout AFTER I had created it, not before. I am a HUGE Evanescence/ Amy Lee fan (just like my friend Boo). So I wanted to do something for her and for others to use too. I thought the title might stir up some confrontation. If it gets worse, I'll change it. It stays for now.

Ok, This is the third in my designs. This one was a heck of alot harder to create. I decided to use a wallpaper you can download from the John Mayer homepage. I thought that it looked perfect for a blog design, so I took it upon myself to do just that.

I worked my butt off on this. I had started it this last week before I went on my trip and then trashed everything, with the intent of coming home afterwards with a new outlook on the problem. (mainly making the page ad-free so there was plenty of space to have the boxes for whatever nonsense in the free spaces instead of putting it over the person's face as most people tend to do. I might play around with this coding again to make other layouts. So don't be suprised if there are similar layouts.

John Mayer is a guitarist and musician who has many pop chart hits (all of which he has written. I fixed the page link so you can check out his page. He's got a sound somewhat similar to Jason Mraz (if you know who he is). I hope that helps a bit!

I love this song! Neon was the first song of John Mayer that I heard (watching a late night show on ABC). I had missed his introduction and his name and it drove me crazy for about a week. This song is in homage to the first time I heard the song.

Again, I would like to thank May*Star for her ad-Free coding to help me accordingly. If anyone is curious about the colors, the pink is in the photo but in one small spot on one little light. The color was just the right intensity to work for the design. The complimentary colors were chosen the same way. **Bonus** This design has tailed cursor to go with the whole neon design.

I added a clock that I forgot to put in the code. And I moved the archives from where they were before (I have this dislike of archives getting to be so large that it moves important info too far down a list). Ok, I probably will... but I'll relist it if I do.

Please be nice to me... This is my 1st skin I've created. I have edited mine before (The ones I am currently using actually come from serendipityq and FilmStar) but haven't coded my own before. I would also like to add that I take great pride in the time I put into photos and such for design.

I love the Harry Potter books. I am also very partial to eyes. That is the first thing I notice when I look at people. Anyhow, I made this design with a little help from May*Star's Ad-Free code. It's a darker green background with grey lettering.

PLEASE DON'T SAY YOU MADE IT! And PLEASE DOWNLOAD IT ON YOUR OWN SERVER!

I was so worried using a light color in this design but the only other colors than the matching green was black at first assumption. I'll try the pale and see how it works.
