Heya!

My exams are over! Woohoo! But unfortunately, the other designer is still having exams.. ): All the best!

Anyhoo, I got the inspiration for this skin from the song The Great Escape by Boys Like Girls. The colour scheme is inspired by their album art (which I just bought! :D)

The hearts are a shape I created on trusty Adobe Photoshop 6.0. I can't remember where I got the brushes - I got them a long time ago and I lost the source. But if it belongs to you, THANKS A MILLION! (:

Usual stuff. If you don't like it because its too plain, please don't say anything. If the font is too large/small, adjust it yourself. If you think the columns are too narrow, I know. But I only realised my booboo after I coded it, by then I was too lazy to change it. Other than that, all other comments are welcomed. (:

Hello!

I'm back! A quick update before school gets too busy again.

Anyway, the usual skin made for 1024 by 768 screens. Made on internet explorer. Font too big? Adjust it yourself. Think it's too plain? Don't comment. Any other comments are welcomed.

The image was a photo taken by my dad (it's a painting in a musuem). I did some photoshop magic and made it into a stencil. Looks kinda cool, huh? (The image, I mean.) The writing are all done by me (i,e It's not a font).

EDIT: I realised that there was a problem for firefox users (thanks, SEVEN* for pointing that out!) and I've fixed it (I think) by shifting the links up. Please check that for me - I don't have firefox - and let me know. Thanks! By the way, I'm not changing the screenshot so what you're seeing there isn't accurate.

Hi!

Sorry for the lack of updates in the past months. School has been really busy and will get busier so we'll probably disappear for the next few months and be back (hopefully) by November.

Anyway, the usual skin made for 1024 by 768 screens. Made on internet explorer. Font too big? Adjust it yourself. Think it's too plain? Don't comment. Any other comments are welcomed.

The inspiration for the this skin came from my current obsession with elephants and somehow the song "Following the leader" got stuck in my head. And I'm sure you'll figure out the rest.

No brushes were used but I used a stencil from Stencilry. This site has some really good stencils so you should go check it out.

Anyway, as usual, save the files yourself in case we decide to delete it from our webhost (to make way for new graphics (: )

Hello!

This skin was inspired by the song "I wish I was a punk rocker (with flowers in my hair)" by Sandi Thom. It's a catchy song that will probably get stuck in your head. I know it's stuck in mine!

Anyway, the dots in the background drive me mad because they are so tiny and makes me kind of dizzy when I stare at them but I still like them. Usual graphics created on trusty Adobe Photoshop 6.0. Brush used is probably from Moargh. But I could be wrong.

The colour scheme may be like blah (lime green and black?!) but they are the polka dot colours to me.

Hello. The other designer here (in case you can't tell us apart (: )

I saw a similar image on the cover of Ben Elton's book, Past Mortem. Yeah, this book was featured in another drogue layout, Past Mortem. I thought the little hang man thing would make a nice layout and here is the end product!

The image was drawn by me and the effects were created using Adobe Photoshop 6.0.

The title doesn't really mean anything (well, you can look at it like end of life but that's if you're a pessimist) but it just seemed to fit with the image.

Hello

School has started and it's been hectic, so apologies for the lack of updates!

This layout is based on my current favourite book - Twilight by Stephenie Meyer! You can read it if you want! I recommend it for "I need to cheer up" moments! Haha.

Anyway, I found the image using Google and in a moment of stupidity, I forgot to note down which website I took it from. But I believe its from the Amazon website. I editted the image slightly on Adobe Photoshop 6.0.

As usual, please upload the images yourself for the usual reasons.

This may be my last skin for a long time because school starts next week. ):

Anyway, this skin is done in my favourite colour - orange! The image was drawn by me on photoshop. No brushes used. Its supposed to mean that life is complicated and messed up. (: Don't ask why isn't it in a depressing dark colour because it just isn't.

Hello. Greetings from the other designer.

I have finally emerged from the hole called exams and decided to do something. This is my first layout in ages so please be nice. (fine. You can be nasty but I will ignore you.)

I got the inspiration from a t-shirt that I saw. As you can probably tell, I hand drew the graphics which explains the shaky lines. Dr Suess said:

"Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not."

That's the quote I got the title of the layout from. Its actually about the environment. My sister felt that it reminded her of something about the environment.

Anyway, I hope you like this layout. As always, if you think that this layout is too plain for your liking, don't bother to comment. I'm aiming for simple and tasteful. Not some Halloween costume.

P.S. There isn't anything wrong with the codes (I think.) For some strange reason, the quote wouldn't 'disappear' when you click elsewhere. However, it works fine in blogger.

First skin submission in a long time. Inspiration from McFly's second album, Wonderland, which wasn't released in Singapore, actually as well as their song "Ultraviolet" which I featured some of the lyrics.

It's very circus-esque, yet you don't see any clowns or anything remotely related to a circus! Cool, huh?

By the way, I forgot where I got the swirly brush from, the black one on the side of the gate. I think it's quite a common brush so please, please tell me if you know where it's from. Everything else is from istockphoto or made by me =)

The space on top is to allow the blogger toolbar to appear so that it won't block the links and posts. It is NOT a technical difficulty

I'm trying to deviate from the obvious colour choices like Lime Green or something. Here's a new colour, a nice sailor blue, to satisfy your taste buds! (Er, eye buds)

The whole thing is actually a background which repeats itself, so that means it can work on every single resolution! Making backgrounds isn't so difficult, as long as your able to see the big picture and how it all connects. I was able to create this background pattern thanks to the brushes from Moargh. I love that the background stays still while everything else moves.

I'm not so into making really fancy skins now. I tried focusing on making something that guys and girls can both use which is simple and practical.

I love the navigations for this one. Pretty cute huh? The colours are pretty versatile too. Brown and blue with a very simple design of a bird and some squiggles.

La Musique means "The Music" in french. This layout's for all the music - or more specifically - piano lovers (including me). This was my old blog layout for a grand total of three posts. It used to have a "secret" link but it's no use putting one here because it won't be a secret anymore! Haha...

It took me quite some time to get the smudges right and the placing of everything, so i hope you enjoy it!

If Memento Mori sounds familiar, it's from Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. It's latin, for "Rememeber you will die". Spooky eh?

This layout was sitting around in my computer for a week because i was at loss with the coding but i've finally figured out something that is pretty versatile on the different resolutions but it looks BEST on 1024 (duh).

The brushes are called "ardenwood". I believe there's a font with the same name too so i think the brushes are derived from the font name. Or the font is derived from the brushes.

Anyway.

The background is continuous! This is my first attempt anything as complex as a background, and the links are DARLING. Go on! Hover over the links!

Sorry people! Had to resubmit cause it doesn't work in firefox! But i still think it doesn't work anyway, not to mention i TOTALLY forgot to close the style tag like the last time with Lonely Sky but luckily this time i'm removing it fast otherwise i'd lose like 400 downloads. ):

Anyway. Once again, title from Ben Elton's book. It's a play on the phrase "POST mortem" which is for whatever occurs after death.

The layout is a bit more adult-ish than usual because of the really rich red colour. There's actually an extension at the bottom which you can't see cause the blogskins toolbar pushed the layout down. But you will see it when you put it in your blog!

This layout was a stroke of inspiration. I was actually planning to keep it for the drogue main website but after much consultation with my fellow designers, i decided to submit it into blogskins!

Who thought it was possible to use more than two colours in a layout! I painstakingly dotted every single dot in around the flowers. So much my eyes are going a bit spotty!

"Flowers in the Window" by Travis. It's is a really sweet song about love, and having kids.

Hello. This is the other designer.

The inspiration for this skin came while I was listening to Speechless by The Veronicas. The lyrics are very obviously from that song. I actually intended to do a pop art version of the image, like Andy Warhol's pictures. But after I did it, my sister said that they looked like freaks. So I settled for tweaking their images using the cut out filter in Adobe Photoshop 6.0

Original images are from here and the font is from the usual 1001fonts.

Shoot. I didn't really want to make another layout with the word "bohemian" in it, but the style of this layout isn't exactly girly/emo/punk/grunge/black and pink (wow, we could get a whole category for just that alone.)

But the title is actually from the Dandy Warhols song with the similar name. Fun song to just sing along to.

Anyway.

I'm not going to change the background colour. This one is PERFECT. This layout is definitely more for the ladies. Sorry guys. But if you are a guy, and you really like this layout, just say the word and i'll create a button for you to replace the word "lady" in the navigations.

I once loved sheep because they were fluffy, hence the inspiration for this skin. The tagline is just a theory and has no hidden meaning so please do not read too much into it.

I created this skin using Adobe Photoshop 6.0 and without brushes! The fluffy body was created using the basic tools in Photoshop.

And by the way, if you intend to say that this skin is plain, don't bother to comment because I know its plain but to do add other stuff on would make it ugly. Trust me, I've tried. Besides, the beauty is in the simplicity! ;)

I admit that actually i didn't come up with the image from scratch, the foundation came from the vector art by portfelia (who, by the way, has excellent brushes) and i thought "this would make a lovely layout". Unfortunately, it was stuck in image format, so i used brushes and turned it around to make a layout. Credit, has been given of course.

The title is from that Ben Elton book "This Other Eden". The layout reminded me of a kind of paradise, hence the name. You DO know what Eden is, right?
