#22 xiaoyu283: jimmy liao(v9) Sleeping Child (Blogger Main)

After an extremely long hiatus from blogskin, I'M BACK! I've designed a new jimmy liao skin- something that many people have been requesting for. This time round, i got the picture of a sleeping child from my all-time favourite book "Moments". It is a picture of a sleeping girl which i found really cute and serene at the same time. Hence, its no surprise that i name this skin "Sleeping Child"

This blogskin has a slight retro feel to it because of the background wallpaper that i've included. The main colour theme for this skin is orange and brown so those who get turn off by these colours, please don't even look at it! Haha...just kidding!

When you preview the skin, you may notice that i've included an extra segment of wordings above the usual "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet! Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet!" so that i could demostrate how the actual skin will look like. Please delete it when you use the skin for your actual blog (instructions available in the html file)

Anyway, i've adjusted the font to 11px so that it looks bigger although i would have preferred 10px =P

Although i have never stepped into the cinema to watch "The March of the Penguins" (mainly because it is only screened in either French or Chinese..since i don't think a chinese narrated flim will be as good as an English one, neither do i understand French, i decided not to waste my $8.50 on a 1hr + movie), my brother who watched it gave really good reviews about it...and i have to admit, PENGUINS ARE SUCH CUTE BIRDS ! Which prompted me to do this skin.....

Also, i realised that photo albums that runs like a silde show is really HOT these days..so i included it in this blogskin along with text to describe the pictures..hope you guys find it useful!

Hi guys~ Its been a long time since i last submitted a skin...! So here's my new blogskin...i got a picture from a fairy tale book which i borrowed from the National Library...it came from the story "The Three Little Pigs" and hence the skin name 'Piggy Conference'.

This skin is pink in colour..(cant help it..the original background is already pink!)

I'm back again (since a long absence) with this new ad free jimmy liao skin!

This is a pinkish skin, with floral pattern behind it and i'm sure many girls will probably like this..ahh yes, its a girlie skin

This skin, unlike many others which i've done, is a 1000px by 1500px (as viewed with a screen size of 1028px by 768px) so you will find it pretty long...especially good for people who hate scrollbars and want to see info at one glance =)

Hope you people will like this skin and i be glad if you could give it your honest ratings!

The picture for the skin is rather big so i would ask of your paitence as you wait for the skin to load.

Its been a long time since i "pick up the mouse" and start designing a blogskin...feeling the itch already! And behold...this is my lastest creation...and yes yes, its a jimmy liao skin!

The picture comes from "Moments" and depicts a little girl sitting on a flight of stairs among the trees...it gives me a mysterious feel of the woods and hence the name "Secrets of the woods".

I got this colour concept when i was dinning at TCC with my bf. I saw the packaging of the coffee/tea sugar. It was a tube-like packet with circles in various shades of brown and feel in love with the colour. Since strips is so "in" now, i've decided to do a strip-y skin!

The background colour is mainly brown, the text and pictures have a yellow glow around them, nicely contrasting the dark brown color!

This picture came from pinuptoons (linked from Diorangel) the scripts are also adapted from Diorangel =)

Well...valentine day is near...thinking of what gift to surprise your sweetheart? How about setting up a blog account just for the two of you?

I'm therefore back with my 3rd couple skin with a picture by jimmy liao. It depicts two couple, standing hand in hand in the woods, just enjoying the serene moment...very lovely. The skin is mainly light blue in colour and if you are observant enough, at the right-hand corner of the frame is this heart shape and on the left and right side of the shape is "ah boy" and "ah ger" it is indirectly saying "ah boy loves ah ger" Haha...interesting? Yeah i tot so...

Hey guys, this blogskin concept came from icecool who suggested that i make a blogskin for best friends. Lo and behold! The skin is concieved! The picture comes from boyis.com depicting two girlfriends (japanese of course!) and the background is a mid-night blue gradient...i love the background. The html script was adapted from Diorangel (thanks ger).

Whey hey people! I'm back with another new skin! Its another jimmy liao skin using picture from "Moments" and "Beautiful Solitude". The main picture is a man relaxing with his dog, enjoying the breeze. It gives a very sleepy and lazy kind of feeling...kinda a laidback feel.

Hope you guys like the skins and do give me your sincere comments. I'm currently working and hence i may not have much time to do skins now...=) But reassured my new skins will still appear every now and then at blogskins=)

Another skin with jimmy liao's work as the theme! The picture came from a page off jimmy liao's "Beautiful Solitude". It is a baby boy wearing an oversized cloak, standing on a chair as if he is mastering the courage to be a hero.

To me, "beautiful solitude" contains most of my favourite works from jimmy liao. These pieces (including the one i used for this skin) are drawn during when jimmy liao went thru the darkess period of his life (he was stricken with leukemia i think). Hence, all the (mainly) mono-chromed pictures not only depicts overwhelming emotions, there's a perfect stillness and peace that lingers in them. That's why "beautiful solitude" is one of my favourites. Expect to see more skins with pictures from "beautiful solitude"!

Hey guys! I'm back with another skin for couples! The lovely and vibrant anime picture comes from boyis.com (thanks to winterdreams for the link!). For this blogskin, i have used a new kind of scripting (with thanks to diorangel for allowing me to use her script as reference!)...well...just open the skin and see it and you will get what i mean....=)

The skin is mainly peachy, pinky and yellowish in colour...really pretty (in my opinion) and really symbolises a blissful marriage - perfect for couples! Hope you guys like it!

As some of you might have realised, i have exceeded my bandwidth and therefore most of my blogskins' pictures are gone (well you cant view them!). The picture for this blogskin has been uploaded in a new photobucket account that i have newly created but i'm afraid of similiar occurance of bandwidth problem. Therefore i would urge you guys to download the picture yourself and upload it into a photobucket account that you create for yourself or you will stand to lose out in the end...trust me!

At the moment, i am also trying to revive my pictures for other blogskins so this may take quite a while...

When my bf and i started our relationship 3 years ago, we kept a diary where we will write down all the special happenings in our relationship...but as time goes by, due to our laziness, busy-ness and wat-have-you, we stopped updating the book....its a pity because when we aged and (hopefully not) become retarded, we might not be able to remember all the little special details of our relationship and hence the idea of a blogskin for couples!!

For this blogskin, i borrowed images from Jimmy Liao's "A Chance of Sunshine" (loosely known also as "Turn Left, Turn Right") and rearranged the images from one particular page to give this layout....i have also borrowed some images from "Moments" i think (cant really remember though =P)..anyway, its a new concept i hope you guys love it....do expect to see more of this kind of blogskin from me!

The picture came from Jimmy Liao's "Moments" and "Beautiful Solitude"....i combine a few pictures to come up with this masterpiece....its mainly brown, beige and grey in colour...=) Light colours to go in sync with the fall =) Hope you guys like it and do give me your comments!

p/s: those blogger ads at the back are actually a script to remove blogger ads..if you are a blogger user, you might wanna keep it if not you may remove it =)

Regarding the picture ligthness...i realised that i have forgotten to set the opacity to 100 =) (a fatal result of blinding copying html from my previous works!) So yep...i did some changes on that...so the whole skin is clearer now=)

to francey : You know...it is logical that you commented that the text is too light for this skin because i agree but i don;'t understand why you made the same comment for my lastest skin, Dreamer's paradise...is it because of your computer or what? I don't think anyone complaint anything about the text being too light for that skin except u....do you have something against me or what?

To diorangel : Thanks for coming to my defense ger...jimmy liao is the author of many pictorial books with his most famous work being "A CHance of Sunshine" which was made into the movie "Turn Left, Turn right" starring Gigi Leong and Takeshi kenishiro...his work are superb...i love them~!

Was in a depressed mood lately....maybe because i felt that i didnt do too well for my previous few papers...hai...looking forward to the end of As....

Anyway...wanna do this blogskin to cheer myself up and at the same time, do some justice to this lovely chanel no. 5 advertisment...perhaps it was the colour (black)..it really made my mood worse...and i guess this skin has turn out failing to meet my own expectations...*sigh*

I'm mesmerized by this picture the first time i saw it.
Nicole kidman not only eludes a sense of class in this picture, she was also portrayed as an icon of elegance.

Awww...i love it...although i dislike using black as a background, i really cannot find another background colour that complements this beautiful work =) I hope you guys like this...do give me your most sincere comments. =) thanks!

Snow fairy (by berryaddict) (Blogger Main)
The blogskin was designed by my friend. Unfortunately, she was unable to get her email validated so she had to post her skin through my account.
