Hello everyone! (:
Anne here, and I'll be hosting the newest blogskins times competition. Since there was a suggestion, for a competition, instead of just the usual SOTD, Blogskins Times has proposed and has been requested to take up the offer to host this competition. Theme: Animal Rampage
Since you don't usually see that many Animal skins around the place, I thought it'd be nice to impliment this theme. (: Oh don't we just all love animals? Haha. Anyway, further elaboration of the requirements of the competition are as follows.
REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER THE COMPETITION
1. Anyone is allowed to take part in this competition.
2. The submitter has to inform me, (Ebullient*) of his/her submission via msn or email, in which I can send you the "banner" to denote that you are entering this competition so other people will know.
3. The skin HAS to include an animal, and make it predominant and clearly visible in the skin.
4. Any animal can be featured in the skin. (Eg: Mammals, Birds, Insects, Reptiles, Rodents, NOT HOMOSAPIENS PLEASE! XD)
HOW THE COMPETITION WILL BE JUDGED
Guess what, folks? It'll be judged by you! Everyone in blogskins is the judge (: Basically, once a skin is submitted with the "banner" which shows that that particular skin is a suspect entrant in this competition, you (skinners with accounts) can fav the skin to VOTE for it.
One fav = One vote
After a certain period of time, I will go through the whole list of skin submissions to this conpetition, and the skin with the most number of favs/votes, would be sole winner of the competition, and will enjoy fame and love by the whole blogskins community. Please note that the downloads do NOT matter in this competition. But only favs/votes.
Please note that you can vote for more than one skin of your choice! (:
I will make the "banner" soon, and give the image url to whoever wishes to participate in this competition. So, it is definitely a must to add me on msn, or contact me via email, if you wish to enter.
DATES OF COMPETITION START & END
I'll give everyone one week to ponder over whether or not they want to participate and to make their skins by then.
So, START OF COMPETITION SUBMISSIONS:
3rd July 2006 3.06pm (Singapore time) or,
3rd July 2006 12.06am (Global time)
AND, End of competition + day results will be released,
7th August 2006 3.06pm (Singapore time) or,
7th August 2006 12.06am (Global time)

On another note, I do encourage as many people as possible to take part in this competition to promote more unusual themes in this blogskins community, and also to enhance friendship bonds between this period of time. (How I dunno, you go figure! XD)

LOL I know animals is a bit of a strange theme and stuff, but it'd be nice to see what creative ideas the people can come up with XD

Yes. Is the skin already submitted into blogskins? If it is, you might have to REsubmit it or have two of the same skins (which in my opinion is strange LOL).

what about.. holding the competition elsewhere in a place where voting(by polls) can only be once and registration is allowed only 1 user per IP? Submission of skins still held in blogskins.com, but voting in a more 'secure' place? Duplicated accounts/users would be checked for before and during voting AND deleted *cough*blogskinstimes'forum*cough*

Haha, I'll help with the polling.
I'll set up the poll topic at the forums if you don't mind, and when users submit the skins, they'll submit it at blogskins.com with your 'banner' in the description that should say "Vote for me at (link)" or something like that and the banner itself links to the forum topic for voting (Registration is compulsory to vote because WE WANT MEMBERS TOO!).
Us admins will keep track of the IPs and prune duplicated accounts a few days before and during the polling to prevent cheating.
There might be 2 topics for voting because max polls per topic is 15 options. =X
