I'd hate to say this but really, you think you're great or something? "Don't come and disturb me". She's just stating her own view and it doesn't even affect you.

She doesn't think shes great. Shes offering help to the community and someone just had to come in telling her straight in the face she doesn't need her service. I don't call that her own view. A view is a person's opinion on the situation, not a blatant information on how a person's service is unrequired/unneeded. It affects her in every way imaginable. It is an indirect insult towards her and a rude gesture to inform someone that his/her service is not needed. Worst still a smiley was put into place, considering the context.

She doesn't need her 'response' in the thread. Who needs responses that consists of no quality or constructive feedback whatsoever? So a thread-starter should still appreciate my post even if I scold the thread-starter an idiot in his topic just because 'I responded'?
I'm not trying to pick up a fight here, and witheringflowers may have just posted that because she was just browsing and didn't know exactly what to reply. But you guys seriously need to define right/wrong, and not blindly follow someone above who seems to be saying the right thing. Theorycraft with common sense.

there is no such thing as "wasting space" since this site / forum is for all people to post on. We all have rights to post whatever we want....
and her offering banner request is like helping others who doesn't know how to edit just like what BlankShot said

You based your insults off a wrong point of conflict. The conflict started when "oh i dont need it. " was posted, but you guys don't understand because you're not the thread starter. She didn't fucking order people around for fuck's sake. Its her thread, she deserves to have an attitude towards anyone who's posting anything like that. She's offering help and someone tells her that she is un-needed? Couldn't it been phrased better? You're not going to tell someone to shut up if someone posts in your thread hurling insults at you? She did nothing wrong, what is wrong with all you senseless theorycrafters?
Also, I don't like how you guys side with a ripper (witheringflowers) who obviously posted in an insult point of view, not an incorrect phrasing mistake.

All I know is that colourfuldreamz is nice enough to provide her banner services to those who need it. With common sense, only those who need it has to reply. She's not asking any person in particular so witheringflowers. doesn't have to reply that she doesn't need it. Her reply is absolutely superfluous in this thread and in fact I find the smiley face very very provocative LOL
If I were colourfuldreamz I would definitely feel that witheringflowers. could've really really shut up. It's discouraging to see a first reply declining your offers, isn't it?
colourfuldreamz was just being a little too tactless and straightforward about how she feels and what's more she has apologized for it.
It's like you're asking a group of people who are interested in your services and someone decides to barge in and say no thanks.

This is the thing about the Internet, you don't know how your words can hurt.
Yes, they may just be words but sometimes it's hard to tell the tone behind the words.
witheringflowers may have meant her answer in the "hahah I don't need it but thanks anyway" tone or the "oh, you so noob, I need for what?" tone. Unless she comes forward and states what she meant by that this conflict will go nowhere.
Lesson of the day: always try to use the nicest words and be nice to people so you don't unnecessarily offend anyone (:

Look people, the threadstarter apologized, so why don't you guys just cut it out? After she apologized I didn't even bother to bump this thread so why should CERTAIN people be down here criticizing on what we say?
Want me to name names? No right? Then keep quiet and don't stick your ass in where you shouldn't.
The only thing she did wrong was to reply. If she didn't I don't think anyone would have cared. In fact if she didn't I wouldn't even have bothered to tell her off. But she replied and apologized, and I salute her for that.
As for witheringflowers, may I ask BlankShot why are you so against her? From what it seems to me you are apparently bringing in personal dislike and animosity into the whole situation. You are not helping.

And yes Carolyn, you're right. That I agree. It's hard to tell, so most of the time people assume. Oh well. All I can say is, unless you mean it, don't use those smileys. At least it helps to make you real on the net.

Since by request of everyone else we'll just let go of this matter for the peace of this topic.
And since witheringflowers had already confirmed what she was meaning, proving my arguments wrong, I apologize.
However to tuesdaynight & theboydisturbed, my arguments were in every sense right in light of the situation BEFORE witheringflowers made herself clear. Also I wasn't against her, I was speaking in light of the situation. I was right that withering's post meant some form of insult towards the thread-starter, hence defending against both of you who strongly believed that the thread-starter was in the wrong, when in fact she wasn't. I called you a senseless theorycrafter because you deemed the thread-starter wrong when she wasn't, since from her point of view it was a deemed a rude post. Also, there is a way to penetrate my pretty normal skull, through sense.

My paragraph of defense basically sums it up.
My arguments were right before withering made it clear.
They are wrong after withering made it clear.
I told everyone why I defended the thread-starter and was against the two mentioned. (Because they thought that the thread-starter was the only wrong party)
And since now whoever I thought was wrong cleared it up, my 'dispute' comes to an end since we have a conclusion, that neither of them were wrong.
Hence peace.
And by the way I did apologize in the second line of my post.

I did say I was wrong..
I was just stating how I was right before the confirmation took place, I did admit that my arguments are wrong after she clears it up.
I tried to defend myself again because I had to, I can't just let people who made wrong judgments about me have their way can I? I was explaining myself in the 'defending myself' part, which is what I am required to do since I started this. I can't just totally ignore those who directed messages toward me.
Hope you get it.
Off-topic: I am amused by how a simple topic offering help can cause so much controversy. Sorry everyone for breaking the peace of this topic but I just had to because I had to make clear whats right/wrong. Have fun in this topic & peace out. Here's a smiley.
