hey dears, you're looking at the competition theme now =D I want to reserve this competition for the after-competition period of non-navigational landscape competition, this deadline is at a part of April, exact details will be shown below. I'm darkdegree & i've always wanted to organise a competition. so anyway, The "Last Summer" Competition is due to the fact that many people fall in love during Summer. Many of us are lving summer holidays as well. But not in Singapore. So anyway talking about this, this theme can revolve around, like a diary/ song lyrics if there are any; "last Summer" is deemed as anythign you deem fit as. But no emotional blogskins, give it a light feel, something light and lovely yet HOT! and thus enough of the introduction of "Last Summer" Competition.

Requirements to Fufil:
As long as there is a factor of "Last Summer" In your blogskin that is submitted, it can be
1 Summer
2 Love with some summer landscapes
3 Diary Form with thumbnails of summer
4 Any random Landscapes/Landmarks with sun/ evidence of summer
5 Beach during summer or any other thing you feel it's okay
6 Music or anything; really random it's just summer!
7 what you do in summer! really anything!

I believe this target is easy to achieve though =D , it is; and below states the rules of this competition, which is vital to whether you are allowed to join in this compeition, if you do post your blogskin's link here, but if it does not go according to the rules or requirements, the skin will be kicked off immediately when spotted by the judges. i think everything is attainable, it's just whether you want to do it or not!

Rules:
1. credit every resources, specific URL is to be given to everyone of them
1.1 basecodes must be creditted directly to the skin you used from
1.2 images must be given a full direct link
1.3 fonts for the image MUST be creditted as well

2. skin must be submitted to blogskins.com or it will not be judged
2.1 do attach this banner: i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj309/darkdegree/summercompet... , otherwise it will be marked out as VOID.

2.2 the skin must be downloadable (blogger main) and previewable.
2.3 a maximum of 2 entries to one user is allowed only
2.4 and it's for everyone! don't be scared -;

3. Skins for other competition cannot be submitted here again, you have to create or modify the skin and link it to the previous skin of the "Last Summer" Competition, to allow the judges to compare and contrast, otherwise, it'd be unfair if you won two awards.

4. SOTD and NON-SOTD makes no difference in the judging of the skin.

5. Do no rip skins off, they would be voided.

6. Edit the picture, at least a little, don't take it off wholesale- photoshop, paint and others are allowed. Any software is allowed.

7. YOU MAY RESUBMIT your skin that has not gone for any competition if you created one long ago, as long as the date states: Februrary 8th 2008, 3PM [Singapore Time GMT (+8)] onwards!

8. You must post your blogskin url here otherwise, it'd not be accepted as well!

9. A Maximum of 2 Skins from each submitter is allowed.

Marks Allocation
1. THEME - 20 marks
1.1 is the blogskinner able to substain the last summer theme throughout the whole blogskin.
1.2 is the blogskinner able to maintain the title of their skin, with the sub theme of music/summer/love or fashion whatever they do in last summer.

2. CODES - 20 marks
2.1 is the blogskinner able to get the color of the title, bold, underline, strikethrough, link, itallic to fit to the whole theme and color of the image.
2.2 is the blogskinner able to get the codes in a neat format that those who don't know html will even understand.

3. DESIGN -50 marks
3.1 is the designer able to collage the different pictures or one picture to fit nicely like a jigsaw puzzle into the blogskin.
3.2 is the color combination right
3.3 organisation skill of the designer to format the skin to look neat
3.4 iamge quality with the style of the designer
3.5 Is a THEME'S SUBTHEME outstanding e.g. Music/Summer/Love/Fashion whatever in summer, is it able to be seen. Is the sub-theme, able to outstand through the image.

4. EFFORT - 10 points
4.1 the way we observe from the cutting and pasting of the pictures into one blogskin if you are doing one.
4.2 The codes are done up with great effort like writing on your own, starting it out from scratch.
4.3 Quality of the work with their limited resources
4.4 Their SOAB Skills.

Significance / tructure / ufficent
how is your skin good in signifying the topic you are covering on? the Structure/layout design is considered as well. Is the structure of the code good? Is there sufficent related to topic-coverage?

Organisation
Basically how you organize the layout the format, the codes the way information is listed, how you start the entry column, the header, style.

Attractiveness
what we judge is based on how well you attract people with the TITLE/ SCHEME/ LAYOUT or even the codes. and the picture (with limited softwares on hand).

BOLD
the boldness of your design, not highlighting to bold in your normal document context, but how differnt it outstands from the other designs. how well you tried to do your pictures, maybe a different style, and of course how you put your point across to the blogskin-user. freshness of your idea, originality.

4.5 Basically this is what it means by SOAB and effort. is this clear enough?

Starting Date: 8th Feburary 2008 3:00 PM according to Singapore Time.
Ending Date: 26th April 2008 11:59 PM according to Singapore Time.
(ENDING DATE WILL NOT BE CONFIRMED, we will wait for 35 submissions before closing this dateline)
and that- the results will be realeased on 30th April 2008 at 3:00 PM Singapore Time.
