i mean, a normal sized one, average,
please give me a size in pixels,
eg:
425 x 425

erm usually you should work with 800 x 600 so that your images dont get too big.
otherwise, internet browser size would be 1000 x 600, i think

no more than half your screen size. is more recommended.
so if 800x600 is 400x300.

i usually start with 600 x 600 then later i will crop lor.

i make usually 800x500
in fact, i working on 2 now.

I work with 780x600.
because it can be seen in all window resolutions. YUP!
the 20px is allowance for the space at the sides of the browser if the window resolution is 800x600. that's wad I was taught when i started out designing. i'm sticking with this rule since forever. LOL.

i always start from 800x800, or 500x500....

I usually edit the images just in its own size, then crop if needed. Yeah.
