textures.

|

and then?
|
| |
| |
|
| |
you paste textures over icons then lower the opacity.
then the effects appears.

Brushes + Screen effect

Actually for textures you kind of change the blending mode to "overlay", not just change the opacity :/

-shrug-
colouring plays more part i think:/
but some textures are really pretty : D

opacity of the layer.

(not really that good yet)
may i know how do i join threemoresteps?
(can i even?)
|
| |
| |
|
| |
lol. uhm.. by the way, after pasting over the textures..
how do you darken the image again?
|
| |
|
| |
|
| |
nop, you dont need any brushes, just easy gradient
1. select your gradient tool, and choose the round one.
2. chose your colours, ONE OF THE COLOUR MUST BE BLACK, I forgot which one but it's either the foreground or the background, duh -.- and another to your desired colour.
3. draw your gradient and set it to screen.

create a new layer, flood fill with red.
then overlay.
as for yellowish
create a new layer, flood fill with very very dark blue
then change layer mode to exclusion.
other wise
duplicate layer.
desaturate.
overlay/softlight.
then press ctrl+alt+b to color balance
just play around with the no digits...
and ahh the light.
create a new layer.
take a soft brush of hardness 0% any size you prefer.
pick your color.
make a dot over the picture
change layer mode to screen.
hope that helps..

uhm
for the yellowish thing,
how do you change layer mode to exclusion
and the brush there's only opacity and flow, no hardness.
maybe cos mine is only photoshop 7 :/
