But in reality, you'll make a good first impression. People may be attracted to you at first but without a good personality, they'll gradually see you for who you are and not what you are.

Yeah looks is usually one of the factors that actually affect the first impressions of what people think of you.
But like what xavqior said, A person who is pretty on the outside but not the inside will never get others to like you for long.
