this really startle me.. the browse link is gone.

This page is no more
Sorry, I decided to take this page down. It didn't really serve any purpose anymore, and it was killing the site's performance. To find skins, I suggest the search page, browsing by tag, or the top skins lists.
i still think that page is still important.. its where we rate and comment and also keep in track of new skins its really a bother searchin them from the tag..
blogskin community is not the same with out it..
ps this is a matter of my opinion only. who agrees with me?

oo,being new here,i had no idea such a page existed.
and yea,who's gonna go search for new skins when we can browse and rate.
but hey,if it really brings down the site's performance,then we cant say anything

It doesn't provide anything that doesn't exist anywhere else. Like:
1) Most recent skins: www.blogskins.com/top/recent/
2) Top rated skins: www.blogskins.com/top/rated/
3) Top favorited skins: www.blogskins.com/top/favorited/
4) etc: www.blogskins.com/top/
I'm making a big push to solve the site's stability problems. It basically goes down several times a day at the moment, and that's not good. Turning off the browse page is one of the most obvious things I could do, because it was basically the cause of 80% of the problems, and not entirely necessary. Once I get everything smoothed out, I'll take a look at bringing it back.
In the meantime, what's something the browse page had that you can't get somewhere else right now?

well, on the plus side, people can't go around rating skins and then pasting the "rate mine" things anymore.
on the down side, a lot of the ratings will be based on popularity as the recent skins page only shows the 10 most recent so skins that aren't on the list are unlikely to get comments.

Ok, so if I made the recent skins page longer, that might help?
Or maybe I should move up the schedule for bringing the browse page back?

i dont rly use tt link, lol. i just go around rating the recent skins on the homepage... but i think the recent skins should be abt until 20... if its possible put it on the homepage... cus if i dont ask ppl to rate mine, aft my skin is like out of the recent skins, then no one comes to rate ! ): and i want self-improvement, cus i think i am a lousy judge on self-improvement and other ppls comments will help me

yeps. agrees that the list should be made longer...
maybe it can have all the skins for that day, or maybe that day and the day before :X like in case someone submits at like... a few minutes before midnight, then people can still comment on that skin.

I really want the All Skins page back .
now im having a hard time finding skins ,
so i would reallyreally appreciate it if you put it back .
the top skins really doesn't do anything .
its very troublesome and you can't look at all the skins in one glance ,
which is very irritating .
do change it back to all skins . (:

Ok, the All Skins page is back, with slightly-reduced functionality. Hope it's still useful! It shouldn't hurt site performance anymore.
