ok i am tired of seeing threads asking very commonly asked questions.
so let's end it all.
i shall compile everything (well almost) here.
here goes :
1. How do I install my blogskin on to my blog? It just gives me some could not be parsed, XML error."
ok, to solve this,
look down from the huge input box where you tried putting your code into.
and click onto the "Revert to Classic Template" link very close to it.
hope this solves it.
2. How do i download blogskins?
On the page of the skin, click the button of your choice (for whatever you use)
either,
"blogger main"
"xanga"
or
"movable type"

after awhile, your download should be completed, edit the code by putting in your profile things or what-nots,
and there you have it,
a nice blogskin for your blog!
3. How do i style my blogskins profile page?
Well, this one requires minimal knowledge.

view each and everyone of those links.
and don't forget to NOT leave a line between each line for your css code.
paste this code into your "about me" section
more experienced people with css, and some html
just view source,
figure out all the components with the class=WHATEVER CLASS tags in the [div] tags
and then view here for the default attributes for the various parts of your profile page.
NOTE : figure out which of the tags declarations are actually for your profile page.
or you might mess something up.
4. How do i have the comments section in my blog?
if your blogskins does not have the comments part added for your blog,
add the following code,
to enable comments.
[BlogItemCommentsEnabled]
[a href="[$BlogItemCommentCreate$]"
[$BlogItemCommentFormOnClick$]]
[$BlogItemCommentCount$] comments[/a]
[/BlogItemCommentsEnabled]
replace the "[" or "]" brackets with the angled brackets.
you may want to add this just before the [/blogger]
part of your blogskins code, to allow comments after every post.
Where can i get nice fonts / brushes /pictures ?
well, there are many sources.

5. How do i make i screenshot?
Ok, two methods for different computers.
first mtd :
ctrl + prt sc
second mtd :
fn + prt sc
after doing that, open paint or some photo editting software and paste it in.
then save it.
and upload it 
any other mtds, please tell me

uhm, i dont know where to create them, but i think most ppl around here use a html/css editing software.
you could use coffeecup html editor, or pagebreeze, or dreamweaver or even notepad.

find the place in the codings where the profile goes,
this requires some searching, and add it.
and for links, do this :
(change the square brackets to the sharp brackets)
[a href="http://link.com/"]LINK123[/a]
for link.com
you can change this to the address of the link you wanna link to.
for LINK123
you an change this to your link's name,
like msn, or wikipedia, or shawn, jack, mary, whatever.

anyone know how to changed skins in xanga.com
i'm familliar in blogger but xanga i'm totally new,
i tried to used blogskins.com skins in xanga CSS it doesn't work...
any website can teach us how to add skins into xanga?

Where do you recommend bloggers who operate a Cbox in their blog to download a set of smilies? I've been searching them for every long, but I didnt find very nice ones.

Most of the emotional things for cbox i get it from deviantart.com or photobucket.com or yahoo.com, maybe u tried some brushes website, some of them can dl msn icon de, yeah =)

i try to put blogskin in www.blogspot.com,but i tried all three of the download n put it in the edit html.. but it cant work,can any one guide me with it?

to upload a skin,
click the "contriute" button somewhere on the top,
in "name" section, put the name of your skin,
in the "description" section, put a description of your skin.
in the "data" section, put in the code for your skin.
in the "type" section, select the type of skin you're submitting (blogger main, xanga)
leave the allow tags alone.
in the "tags" section, put in the keywords of your skin
in the "screenshot" section, you can put in your own SS, or let blogskins do it for you.
after all that is done, click preview.
if your skin turns out the way it should, click, "yes, submit it!"
there you go

i dont understand!! i'm a new member of blogger.. and.. the prob is when i click a layout that i like.. it shows the layout and not the download button. how can i download the layout codes?

you dont click preview, you click download,
either xanga or blogger or movable type
so if you're using it for blogger, click blogger

erm, i got a prob
in blogger, if i use blogskins that i find here, i cant upload my cbox's and javascripts.
but if i use a blogger skin, i can upload my cbox's and javascripts.
i want to have the blogskins i find here AND the cbox's and javascripts together, but i dont know how to...
can anyone help? thanks

you just have to put your own javascript in the [head] part,
and your cbox code into the part of the blogskins skin for tagboard.

Help! When I post something on my blog, the previous post got moved to the left of the page and behind the background picture. What happened?
Also, position of the picture is not centered. It's either to the right (on my screen) or to the left (on my brother's screen).

XML error message: White spaces are required between publicId and systemId.
