ok i am tired of seeing threads asking very commonly asked questions.
so let's end it all.
i shall compile everything (well almost) here.
here goes :
1. How do I install my blogskin on to my blog? It just gives me some could not be parsed, XML error."
ok, to solve this,
look down from the huge input box where you tried putting your code into.
and click onto the "Revert to Classic Template" link very close to it.
hope this solves it.
2. How do i download blogskins?
On the page of the skin, click the button of your choice (for whatever you use)
either,
"blogger main"
"xanga"
or
"movable type"
Image from lix
after awhile, your download should be completed, edit the code by putting in your profile things or what-nots,
and there you have it,
a nice blogskin for your blog!
3. How do i style my blogskins profile page?
Well, this one requires minimal knowledge.

view each and everyone of those links.
and don't forget to NOT leave a line between each line for your css code.
paste this code into your "about me" section
more experienced people with css, and some html
just view source,
figure out all the components with the class=WHATEVER CLASS tags in the [div] tags
and then view here for the default attributes for the various parts of your profile page.
NOTE : figure out which of the tags declarations are actually for your profile page.
or you might mess something up.
4. How do i have the comments section in my blog?
if your blogskins does not have the comments part added for your blog,
add the following code,
to enable comments.
[BlogItemCommentsEnabled]
[a href="[$BlogItemCommentCreate$]"
[$BlogItemCommentFormOnClick$]]
[$BlogItemCommentCount$] comments[/a]
[/BlogItemCommentsEnabled]
replace the "[" or "]" brackets with the angled brackets.
you may want to add this just before the [/blogger]
part of your blogskins code, to allow comments after every post.
Where can i get nice fonts / brushes /pictures ?
well, there are many sources.

5. How do i make i screenshot?
Ok, two methods for different computers.
first mtd :
ctrl + prt sc
second mtd :
fn + prt sc
after doing that, open paint or some photo editting software and paste it in.
then save it.
and upload it 
any other mtds, please tell me

Wow. Great thread. Adressing all teh irritating questions at once eh. Thumbs up! Should address stuff about bad image quality too. Like, using photobucket for one. Or places to find tutorials to make blogskins. Lots of poeple go "can you teach me?"

Sorry but do you know there's something like a box when you enter someone's blog, and it requires a password to enter.. It will be on the left hand corner..

Download the code, and then copy paste. Click revert to classic template first though. Read my FAQ.

That's some other code which I cannot give you off hand. But maybe you can try digging this forum. I know it's in there somewhere.

I have a very stupid question here.
I'm using one of the blogskin and edited myself for the images.
I realised that the navigations (which i turn it to rollover images [originally was just still image]) did not appear and i cant click the links when i'm in the blog archive page.
Any idea what happened?

The author of the blogskin uses images as the navigations, I only change it to a rollover image.
I realised that some archive to certain months, the navigation will be shown but not for some.
I dont know what went wrong.

sorry , i have this problem, all the files that i want to download are in zip file and there is a BIG problem with it. below it is stated to right click and save as, put right click where, it would be much better for the older version of downlaoding, please reply .

hey now when i download the codes, they are zipped up. then when i extract, the files cannot be opened! can dont put the codes in zipped files? it is really irritating!

However I have no way of making them downloadable in text or zip format.

I'm just started my blog and have chose one of the blogskin that I really like from here...I have downloaded the skin by bloggermain.....then wat should I do?how can I get the HTML code to paste into my blog account?????
I get some informatiojn from my friend that to get the HTML code is from
open with notepad
and I will get the code....but I found out that the file I've downloded is in zip format...I even don't know what is winrar!

Erm, once you download a brush, how do you use it? I know that for fonts you have to go to control panel and paste the file there. But what about brushes? i downloaded already but i am not sure how to use it in photoshop . I don't know where to put it and where to get it to use it. Could help ? )'; .

How to make the post limit so that it fits the box completely ??
All my post keep coming out from the box and I seriously have no idea to limit it....
Each time it comes out from the box i have to increase the height %....
And each time when I add one new long post, the whole thing is out of proportion again....
And erm... the post I kinda removed it coz its my private blog ...
Please tell me how to fix it T_T

after downloading photoshop brushes, u can put them into
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Presets\
rmber the file type shld be .abr not .zip or .rar

you shld add another div into the current one. example
(div id="a" (div id="b"(/div)(/div)
in div id="b" , set style overflow=auto. that should do the trick.

If you wanted to limit the post but not set an overflow attribute, you can do it from blogger settings.

Fn's the button next to the Ctrl button usually found at the bottom left and right of the keyboard.
Prt sc's thr button on insert.
Press Fn then Prt Sc to take a screen shot.

This has been awesome.
But I do have a question, how do I remove the advertisement at the bottom of the page?
Also, at my about me section, there is a huge gap between the text and the"about me" title.
I have no idea why. o.o Anyway to help?
