I don't really like Jodi Picoult but I'm reading her books anyway for the court scenes, which are AWESOME Jordan McAfee is full of WIN! ^^
Any weirdo here like me who likes court stuff, try John Grisham. Old but goood.

My recommended books are still the best. JKJK.
Another two books that should be read are Eragon and Eldest by Christopher Paolini.
And also, my Mum used to be a Jodi Picoult fanatic, so she has her books.
Alex Rider series is great.
But Darren Shan, J.K. Rowling and C.S. Lewis simply amaze and inspire me.

I wouldn't say Harry Potter sucks, it just isn't nice.
(Talk about sugar-coating your words. -__-)
I like Jodi Picoult better. Still hounding my friends for My Sister's Keeper and Tenth Circle.
Shamanka by Jeanne Willis is nice too, if you're into a magical adventure type of thing.
And omg the Twilight series too. (Hah.)
Actually JP has a lot of sexual scenes and vulgarities in her books, but I'm alright with it.
I mean, it's not a 101 on sex.... -__-
Anyway, currently on the prowl for Kate Cann's vacation series.
They're also a little like JP's book. Not exactly unorthodox, is it? ;D
