I just posted a temlplate called "Six Layer Red".
http://blogskins.com/info.php?sid=5375
I just wanted to add to my note that this is a basic design. I put it up so that you all could expand on it and figure out how to overcome several problems I haven't been able to.
One problem is with the sizing. It required an absolute size which forced me to add an overflow value, but that added an extra scrollbar.
Another problem is that the coding is quite messy. There is probably a better way to code this.
Also, I left the other layers rather bare--I'm sure you guys can come up with some ways to fill them up.
If you use this template for an actual blog or post a new design with the layering effect, I'd appreciate if you'd drop me an email with a link so I can see what you've done with it.

yeah, wow... I was quite impressed with the idea, but I do think that your skin could be more aesthetically pleasing. It's a great idea, and I'll probably try making a skin with layers too, eventually... after I get all my papers and exams out of the way.
Oh and thanks so much for letting us use your idea. There are many many designers on this site who would have simply accused other people of copying, had they decided to elaborate on it.

I think you'll find it a little more creative.
