Hi. I'm new using blogskins. What is "Movable Type"? What is "Xanga"? They look the same to me when I change the extension to ".html". Can anyone help a newbie?
Thanks,

Movable Type and Xanga are both blogging applications, like Blogger.
Movable Type requires for you have your own hosting. There is also a license fee schedule; I don't know what the prices are.
Xanga provides hosting for you, just like Blogger. It is also free like Blogger, but for a cost you can get more features.
I personally prefer Blogger over Xanga because it's all free, and it's really, really easy to customize.

mela....thank you. As I previously stated I'm new. I've been teaching myself to use html, xhtml and some other codes. I've been designing since March of 2004. I didn't grow up with this technology. I'm, uh, an older student of the internet. Are you young? Were you taught computer technology in kindergarten? If you were consider yourself very fortunate.
Thanks again.
Peace and blessings,

Am I young? That depends upon your perspective. Everything that I know about the internet and markup languages, I learned on my own.
