Well if you had photoshop cs2 it should be similar.
But I dont think you do right?
http://revision3.com/pixelperfect has 52 episodes [ yes episodes ,but you dont need to download them, just click on the thumbnails ] on using the different things in photoshop. Note that there are some for Illustrator too.
I hope this helps.

CS3 and CS2 are pretty much alike.
But CS3's much cooler!

Fiddle around with the software.

Just play around with the brushes! That's what I did when I had the chance to fiddle around with Adobe Photoshop. If you get tired of the brushes the programme provided you can always download more at various websites. Just look at the credits of some blogskins to get the webpage

I'm so glad i saw this thread. i have Photoshop CS3 but at the moment am still having a headache trying to navigate around the software. I still prefer CS2 though, it's so much easier to use and has all the basic functions you'll ever need!
I have one BIG question though: to those people who have CS3, I am having major trouble "selecting a layer"... that sounds stupid. Allow me to rephrase:
OK, besides manually going to the 'layers' toolbox which is usually found at the right hand side of the screen and selecting that layer you want, is there an easier way to simply mouse over, say, an autoshape heart and selecting it? Because in CS2, what happens is that there's usually a blue outlined rectangle whenever you mouse over a particular layer so you know which one you're clicking, but in CS3 there isn't!!!
So it's really infuriating sometimes when I'm making images and stuff from scratch, say for a blogskin, which involves compiling heaps of images together, perhaps up to 20 over layers- and when I want to select a particular rectangle for instance, I can't? Because there isn't the blue rectangle thingy when I mouse over anything!
In the end I still end up painstakingly going through every single layer in the layer toolbox at the side, which wastes valuable time and makes me MAD!
Hope you guys get my drift. Any form of advice out there about this matter would be very much appreciated!!! Looking forward to some constructive comments soon

My 30-day trial is over, and my friend told me to 'uninstall it and reinstall it again'. I did that, and I still couldn't use it. Hacking serial numbers is wrong too.
