Oke- so I must be dysfunctional or something because, even after reading all other possible helpful threads, I still don't know how to add change my template. I don't understand what we're suppose to cut and paste because everytime i dl the template i want, it gets saved as a HTML file. What next? I copy whatever's on that HTML file, paste it onto the empty blog template page, then nothing happens. I push preview, but nothing but a bunch of computer jargon shows up. PLease help me!! What's wrong with me?!?! Thanks :)

  1. after clicking download, save the skin as an html file.

2. locate the file in your hard drive and open it with a text editor such as notepad.

3. copy everything that shows in notepad and paste into the empty template page in blogger (or movable type).

4. preview and save.

5. republish.

6. visit your blog to see if the changes took effect. you may need to refresh your browser in order to see your new layout.

7. if it still doesn't work, come back here and give us a more detailed description of the problem.

and if you need your old links, info, tagboard code, and other stuff on your old layout, don't forget to save your old template as another html file before totally replacing it with a new one just like what maystar said here: http://www.blogskins.com/forum/index.php?cid=3&mid=74

you could try wordpad. i think microsoft word would open the page as an html document (as a browser would) instead of plain text not unless you view the source code.
