Why can't BlogSkins use a better forum system like http://www.vbulletin.com/ or http://www.phpbb.com/ ?? Although I think BlogSkins is great so far, I have a problem with the forum's layout and usability. I am having trouble looking through the mess of posts and wished it was easier than this!

I don't think the major problem is necessarily the forum cms. (although, I prefer phpBB personally). I think a big part is the lack of moderating. So many people don't search the forum before asking questions, so we get lots of people asking the same question, over, and over again.
Like "how do I download a skin". It's been asked 50 gajillion times already! Use the search feature!
Also, double posting is a big issue. Lots of people post the same question in every single forum, which is reeeally really irritating. post your post in the appropriate forum, and it'll get answered. Posting a question in all four forums just makes me *not* want to answer it.
So, a suggestion for myles, of sorts, could be, could we have forum rules/moderators? I'm sure this forum would be a much better resource, if it wasn't as much of a mess.
(a better cms would help too) I'm thinking mainly in terms of sticky posts, and having recently updated posts be near the top (this might help prevent people from posting the same question, over and over again, because the answer would be right there).
Although, it would probably be a hassle transferring all the databases (I'm assuming that's what this forum uses), but there's *such* a mess of posts, I think that only a few threads need to be transferred.

yes, i agree 99.9999%. forum moderators will definitely help make this forum more useful and reliable.

Why not the skin mods also be forum mods?? Or is that too much work?
I don't mind being a forum mod, but not a skin mod because I haven't posted skins yet.

Also, it would be nice to have an edit button because some posts looked like they have been posted twice with a little bit of change. That'll save reading time and space.

Yes, I am new here (just started today) and I can definatly see where Francey is comming from. There is WAYYY too much double posting just in this forum alone and I agree that there needs to be some cleaning up around here, (dont hurt me) but instead of all most bashing this site maybe you should Private Message the mods to change some stuff. (if this thing has PMing)
