Skin Designers,
When you submit a skin here, you appreciate (and in some cases expect) a link back to you when someone decides to use your skin, right?
If someone were to re-make or even outright steal a skin you made and submit it here without giving you any credit, you'd be angry right?
But most of you do this same thing all of the time. You never list your sources for images or for the Java Scripts used in your skins.
I am sure the people who took the time to create the images and Java Scripts you use would appreciate it if you gave them credit.

By not using freeware or royalty free graphic materials you break the copyright laws anyway.
Most of the javascript is freely available on a lot of javascript archives, sometimes under a GNU license.
However, there is a difference between reusing code and give it your own spin and copycat the look and feel of a template. The first one isn't a problem, because better use a good base than try to create your own buggy one. The second one is pathetic on the part of the imitator.

Hmm...good idea. I don't generally like using images--- and, if I do, I always give credit, but I should start linking to JavaScript sources and so on. Thanks for the interesting comment.
