Why?

I initially wanted to make this look a torn-out page from a diary of this poor girl who has been ditched.
The diary page describes one of their happy outings together.
Then when the girl reads through the page, she cries(see the splat over there?) and in a fit of fury, she scribbles in red those words.
And the bg is brown because the page is on a table.
Weird idea.
