The echoed forest of the gray leave pines,
A lone wolf watches from on top the vines.
Scents of agony encrust the air
Above the gleaming jewels flare.

Scalded by the Vestige of a loving past
The scratches and wounds that came from lust
Below the moon, the earth is calm
Where lay the fabled, healing balm?

Perched on top the towering pile
Cursing chronology so very vile
Mentally imprisoned to the ground
Neglecting the quaint welkin unbound

Nostalgia etched deep into the core
Scarred by the fiery blades of yore
Reminiscing about the resplendent memoirs
Shedding harrowing droplets of remorse
(Err, yes, I wrote this. Lol)
