But if for a rookie, i understand you still do not know how to blend etc.
Maybe just take 2-3 big pictures of jiro that is the same
size and align it a straight line or something, and add a simple border.

i would prefer if you just use 1 or 2 big jiro images , photoshop/gimp edit it with texture and brushes to make it look nicer.
white is too contrasting with black. instead try using grey? some people may find their eyes being annoyed due to the huge contrast.
would rather you change the shade of blue and purple too. it doesnt really fit in with the skin. more like they are IE or FF's default colors.

suggestion is that you to check out some editing progs and try them out to make a skin.
for coding wise , its best for ya to improve on the selection of colors. sometimes colors which are similar like blue and purple does not mean it will always match each other. same for black and white.
