The space above the layout is to leave room for the Blogger bar. I'm sorry I can't erase it, but if I just let the layout start at (0px, 0px), it'll only erase half and look even worse!
I stored this away for a while but never submitted it because I had made it exclusively for my friend's blog. But now she barely uses it, so I thought I'd let you all at it. ^_~
There are some images to upload, and the usual process applies (I can host them for you if you don't have a server, but it'd be better for you if you just uploaded them to your own space, because you never know when mine might just collapse).
