I couldn't read the writing in the journal...Dolly has some good suggestions.

The Good: You used center alingment without making the page feel empty.
The Bad: Anyone with a smaller display is only going to see the upper-left to mid section of the page. That can get inconvient.
The writing is also very small, and the amount of contrast in the pic makes it very difficult to read the words.
