Yeah, you're 17. You're only 10 years younger than I am. Don't attribute mediocrity with age. I was much more advanced with a computer (design-wise) at your age than you seem to be right now. You need to start designing outside of the box. Photo manipulation, more precise paintshop techniques... search for some good design freebies to work with online... it will open a whole new world for you.

Zakirah you should do it more like mine. I put a link and a icon that matches the design but isn't in the main photo. it's cleaner and nicer. As for this layout... I'm not a fan of people who simply use a paintbrush in paintshop or photoshop to write words so I find it very messy. Also combining type with those letters is confusing. Some of us have established a place for ourselves online with our handle... it would be confusing having your name on the main graphic. I find the graphic is way too large for the layout itself (not too many use a screen setting over 1024 x 768) I think these layouts you have done (2 layouts because there is speculation as to the pink one that makes your eyes all bug out belonging to another designer) are still in their infancy in regards to design so I would try something a bit more artistic and edgy next time to see if you really have a handle on the design aspect of blogskins.
