The typography of those words is just unflattering to the layout overall. Also, the top image is too square and I don't understand why you would make the textareas actually narrower than the top image. That makes very little compositional sense. Compositionally speaking, the eye is more easy on compositions that are 1) boxy throughout if boxy at all at the same width or 2) have a bottom that is larger than a top to provide a larger support base and to create an inverted V compositional shape.
