Grassland Legend

Update: 7 June 2006: Made the text somewhat lighter.



This was inspired by the orchestral piece "草原传奇", which translates into english as "Grassland Legend". It's a really beautiful piece; you should listen to it if you get the chance. It centers around the Mongolian way of life in the vast plains, which I tried to emulate in this blogskin with the grass, horse rider and the random grazing cattle.

The silhouettes were done from scratch in vector art form, although I did a study of some photos of key elements of Mongolian grasslands. I got too lazy to vector out all the grass individually, though, so I used the default brush for grass at a few different sizes to make the "grassland". Background was smudged using the default maple leaf brush.

Font is "Freebooter Script". You can probably find it on dafont.com if you want it.
