1. The white bg of the image and the black bg doesn't match. Maybe change the white to black or black to white, although I think all black would be nicer.

2. Color- magenta and light blue and grey are not well matched. Might want to take note of that since CSS does affect the overall feeling. Try picking the colors existing in the image.

Not bad... I kinda like the color schemes you're going for. But somehow some colors are like out of place, like the magenta color brush. I also think the bg color for the text area is too bright. Maybe tone down the red abit. Cropping of the model is quite rough too. I don't know what tool you use, but I suggest zooming in (+100% maybe) and then only start cutting out the image.

Other than those that I've mentioned, I think you're in the right direction. Just need to fix a little here and there. I'm sure you'll do better next time. =) Gambatte!

To be honest, I love the image. It's lovely, although I don't watch the anime.

However, I think you could have make the skin even prettier by changing the bg color. Maybe light grey?

and I don't really fancy the font (comic sans). Well that's just me on my part.

Ah, vector! I love the image. I love how you intentionally color the flowers out the line in a messy way. You also did a good job in the css, with colors complementing the image. Although I don't quite understand what the poker cards are doing at the corner there, that really doesn't bother me much. LOL.
