There are rooms for improvement.

Firsly, I think you might want to play around with the letter-spacing and also the line-spacing to achieve a relatively professional look. I know its hard for a beginner. Take your time and try to pick up. Find a design that you think its good and compare the those 2 aspect with your skin. Improve on it as time passes. Not long you can produce great skin. Different font works differently with different spacing. Play around with different fonts also.

Secondly, its the way you present your content. I quite like the way you show your date time and title. It is traditional but it breaks the norm which is good as people hate to see the same thing again and again. Try play around with different colors for your skin. Although its good to limit your color down to less than 3, it is never wrong to have more colors if you know how to blend them together.

Lastly, its the layout. This is a 1 column skin. There is nothing wrong with it but when it comes to content presentation, with the user point of view, it might be confusing. For non-navigational skin, try to have more columns to break apart the post and other content. It also helps to reduce the page length as some people hate to scroll down just to find the content they want.

Those are just my second cent. As I have said, there are always rooms for improvement. I am gonna give you 5 stars for encouragement and hope to see better skin from you.

I am working on incorporating blog content in Flash. If I am able to figure it out, it will be a blog in an entire flash element. Hence, the interactivity will definately be way impressive. Working on that at my free time now.
