Even with a good internet speed, this is taking too long to load for a blog. Cut down on the image-size or leave the 'splash page' out totally.

Using tables for layout? You have unclosed tags.
The background doesn't blend with the repeat, make it a pattern or something before putting in.

Thanks Enex! That is really a darn good comment and I appreciate it! I was initially going for a 'floating' navigation but yea, was pretty lazy to redo the codings for fixed positioning nor inclusion of javascript.
