nice idea. however the downside is that when you scroll down (cos the blog is so long) the other areas will look really really empty. i think making it a scroll box would be better as the other places wouldnt look so naked. you could make it fit nicely into a 1024x768 and yeah it'll look better with a plain BG.

the two images dont really go together as they are of different colours. i think 1 image would be better.

the navigation location kinda messes up the skin... the main image itself is nice. think it would look better joined to the layout, with the navigations at the sides. my comment only. and the text font could be made lighter as it is rather hard to see.
