- Look at how complicated 腐 is when there's 116516131 customers waiting to eat your 豆腐 =D It's easier to write everything in a simplified form as long as it can be understood by their fellow cooks. Some also write 饭 as 反. Not just Singapore, this is common practice in Malaysia too.
