Note: Absolutely NOT compaitable with Firefox. But when i took a look at this in IE. It looks spectacular.
But because of very very sucky firefox version, i am sorry..

1. Your graphics are pixelated. You must always shrink images to preserve their sharpness and not attempt to expand them after you shrink them.

2. The way you blend is just by adjusting the tranparency dial. Attempt using the overlay or softlight blending tools located in your layers window.
