I make blogskins for people that want to have a different template than those provided by Blogger, but don't know HTML or CSS or anything.

I make simple templates. I do this for two reasons: (1) I think the textual content should be the focus of any blog, and (2) I like minimalist designs.

I test all of my skins in the most recent versions of Firefox and Internet Explorer, and I make sure that they render correctly. If they don't look right in your browser, get a new broswer.

I design all of my new skins to web standards. That means well-formed documents, XHTML 1.0 Transitional, CSS 2.

Some gripes of mine:

I spend a lot of my own time making these templates for people to use. I do not charge for them and people don't have to use them if they don't like them. I try to design more modern skins that are geared towards adults. People seem to either love or hate my skins, but the most common complaint is that they're "boring."

I take issue with this. I put my skins in the "simple" category because they're supposed to be simple. The trends in web and graphic design right now seem to be moving towards less complicated, more direct, more accessible designs. Not towards gaudy clipart pasted together with poorly written CSS. But that's how I feel a lot of skins look, and that's why I try to make some simple, consistent, sleek ones that people with different tastes can use.

So please, if you don't like my skin, you can say so, but please give some thought to WHY the skin looks the way it does.

Also, different colored scrollbars and tricks that work in Explorer are NOT valid CSS and do NOT comply with W3C recommendations.
