Eh. The bats make it kinda creepy. There's not a lot of room for posts in the middle. What happened to the fake posts in the preview? They got scared and ran off too. Yeep. The color combination is nice as is the animated banner. But the usability factor brings the overall score way down. Sorry.

Excellent work, tusk! Something about the simple layout and the colour scheme you have chosen almost makes it 'serene' and not creepy at all. Wonderful pic. Do you know where it came from, who the artist is?

Nice layout, good choice of background (soft pink) for the image. BUT ... the a:hover declaration needs to be altered. Whatever effect you've gone for spoils the otherwise nice look of the site. Also might want to put some padding in so the text isn't touching the side.

This really chaps the collective a$$e$ of people who put thought into their designs, who have studied design, HTML and CSS, and who work hard to create pleasing designs.

How do you expect to learn anything if you simply take someone else's work and copy it WHOLESALE?

Gorgeous skin. Only thing is the blurred links. Other than that, very very ELEGANT!!!

It's too busy. The text is illegible. It's a train wreck. If you tidied it up a bit and did away with some of the images (too cluttered as is), I think it would be ver clever.

Very nice. EXCEPT... my cursor is MINE. Don't mess with it. (Just a pet peeve of mine!) Otherwise, love the muted color and the appropriate quotation you have chosen. Good job! (I'd give it a 4 if not for the cursor "issue"!)

I am responding to StartledBliss's comment that I, Joni Mueller, of webjones.org accused her of stealing the cursor trails That's a lie. The main reason is I NEVER use cursor trails in my web design. I'd never create one. So there are no cursor trails to be stolen from me. Period.

I don't know who this Whitney Hedges/Startled Bliss person is, but I've never emailed her and certainly never told her any such thing. I'd be very interested in how she came up with this story.

As for the design, I love the pink and orange combination. reminds me of the color scheme at tarinatarantino.com. Love it all. 'Cept the cursor trails!
