Because the image resolution is a little low. That's the reason. Don't get me wrong.

the image is nice, but please work on the resolution. ^^ if you have photoshop, make the banner a little wider so that it will fit. but the navigational thing-y is nice. I suggest put some vintage swirls as their background, It will look great, I think.
