You don't need to beg your parents to buy you Adobe Photoshop because its in & using adobe will make you more famous & talented in the designing world! But I think that's not true, without adobe you can still use a free program and make skins & layouts! I have adobe but before that I used the simple program called paint and drew my layouts from scratch!! I was inspired by the talent some Neopet users posses and I tried drawing out brushes using paint, I can't save the brushes that I used so at that time my layouts took me hours and a lot of patience to finished it ,even though it isn't close to their works but I was smiling at myself because I took the pain and time to finish it & people actually says it was unique & original. Drawing layouts from scratch isn't a crime, it is actually an art & I am able to express myself freely with paint but soon after I got hold of my Adobe Photoshop I got lazier and lazier and took people's brushes and make my layouts & blends and thought the blends & layouts look nicer than what I did using paint, but I did not realized that those brushes weren't mine, so I can't claim the layout fully as mine and I aren't happy. (I am not meaning adobe is bad, I am trying to tell people that using Paint you can make kickass layout and wow people with it! You don't need adobe, Paint is another beautiful yet simple program waiting for you to open it and truly appreciate it. (:
