About Me:

I am creating this account as my last and final account & deleting all of my old ones, along with the layouts. I have too many layouts, and my bandwidth is being eaten up, so I am starting over fresh. Those of you may know me as Faeryvixen (which was also the first featured contributor ever), Urban*Faery, or Urban.Faery. So if you have any layouts from those accounts, it would be wise to upload them to your own image host or they will be lost forever.

I'm a 26 yr old femme who's 4 yr old daughter and her newborn baby boy are her entire universe.

Graphic design is my passion, but writing most definitely runs a close second. I am a beginning web designer, and everything I've learned has been completely self-taught [which, needless to say, is why my skins usually aren't so complicated, but I have gotten much better as of late]. But that's okay, because the fun part for me is the graphic design. All of my graphics are manipulated in Photoshop 7, and any credits are supplied within the layout.

ABOUT MY SKINS:
Best viewed in 1280x1024, but most can be used in 1024x768 also.

I tend to use the "arial" font in most of my skins because I think it looks the cleanest. Every once in a while I will change it if it goes better with the layout.

I do not like it when people rate low just because a skin is too simple. Some people [actually more often than not] do not like a lot of picture or clutter on their page. I like to think that sometimes simple is better. It puts more attention on the owners thoughts and ideas then on the page itself, which to me, expression is the most important thing.

I know that the "tables" format is starting to be overused, but I tend to use it more often than not on my designs because it seems to me that you're able to do more with the alotted space instead of trying to cram a bunch of boxes on one page.

I don't like it when people use my coding, as selfish as that may sound, but I strive to be a bit different, and a lot of time & effort goes into the coding. PLEASE, out of respect, ask permission before reusing ANY of my layouts.

Also, to keep my bandwidth from going over, and all my pictures disappearing, please upload the pic to your own host. Some good ones are photobucket, tinypic, imageshack...etc.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT HOW I FEEL SKINS ARE RATED:
I try not to rate skins low just because I don't like them. I may leave a comment, but I do not rate below 3 stars...UNLESS you are trying to pass someone else's skin off as your own without any credit to the original designer. That's a different story. And if you rate MY skin a 1 star, I will not rate yours low just to be vindictive. My ratings are based on quality, not personal gratification. That said, please feel free to leave any criticism [constructive or otherwise] on my skins, because without feedback, I do not know what you like or want.
