All of the skins I've made is for resolution 1024 × 768, because I use 1024 × 768 myself. Most of my skins are kind of bright and cartoonish, because I don't really work well with real images, although I'm still improving on it. You have to upload the images yourself if you don't want broken images on your blog...



As for image hosting, I suggest Photobucket or Tiny Pic. The disadvantage is that those two hosts has bandwidth limit. If you want a host without bandwidth limit and bigger upload limit, I suggest Image Shack, although it's a little troublesome as you can't overwrite the file unlike Photobucket.
That's all I know of. Haven't tried any other hostings yet. Hahaha...
