that kind of coding isn't too common. big plus for being original. that's something that matters most in my opinion.

the bg hurts the eyes a bit, but i guess it's not a problem when you chose a nice color for the entries space. afterall that's where readers will be looking.

i like the fact that you used no image and yet the skin is full and satisfactory.
