a ] exuberance wasn't spoiling your ratings. you must be able to accept the fact that you are a skin designer and willing to accept critism.
b ] colour combinations CANNOT be changed. only CSS can be. colour combination is implying on the skin overall colours.

anyway,
the way you used the colours to "brush" over the image looks like a mess.and yeah it's really plain.

But i think you should edit the codes more.Looking at the same codes all the time can be boring.No offence,but i think you should change them.
