you've got lovely images but yes u should like bring thos images closer.It'll be much better and purple isn't a suitable choice background colour.
Try dark and dull colours like very very dark brown or black.I think black is still the best.

like the pict, change the color, maybe to something like brown or vintage-y ones.

This skin is fab. But maybe can change the background colour and make the text nicer. But overall, its still nice!
