I agree about blending the image but using a black bg was a good idea cause it's not so obvious that it wasn't blended, so yeah, that's great.

as for how to do it in photoshop, there are many ways, like tyanaCHIC said. Personally, since you have black as your background, I'd recommend you to use a black coloured fading brush to blend the picture in :]

well it depends really,there are many ways.cos i don't have a photoshop,i use background eraser at the sides so it fades into the background
